Herlyn Iván Espinal
(1982) lives in Santa Rita, Yoro. He graduated from secondary school in 2001 as a
computer operator. His greatest dream is to become a great journalist; at present he is
studying journalism in the National University. He formed part of a merengue dance group
in his native Santa Rita, but he had never had the chance to try himself as an actor until his
friend Wilson Gómez invited him to try out for teatro la
fragua, in which he is presently working as an apprentice. And he remains
faithful
to his dream of becoming a great national and international journalist. In that his heroes are
Jorge Ramos of Univisión, and he is proud of the Honduran journalist Neyda Sandoval,
who works in those international media.

Edilberto González
(1972): was the group's composer-in-residence, music
director and musician. In spite of the fact that Edilberto has only finished sixth grade and has
had no
formal musical education, under the tutorship of Jack Warner in la fragua
he has received a basic
musical education sufficient to bring out and channel his considerable native talent. He now
composes
and arranges a great part of the musical scores that accompany almost all productions of the
teatro: the
music of the songs of Romero de Las Américas come from his
pen, and he is also responsible for the
lyrics of the final song. He frequently participates in Song Festivals in Honduras and regularly
walks
away with the trophy for original compositions. A stubborn friend of logic and reason, Edilberto
is a
fan of biographies of Che Guevara, books on the origen and mysteries of the universe, and the
songs of
Guillermo Anderson, Silvio Rodríguez and Ricardo Arjona. In his free time Edilberto is
a painter: his
specialty are primitivist landscapes that capture the rural ambience and provincial life of
Honduras.

Héctor Lezama (1978):
was born in El Progreso and grew up on the
Biblical dramatizations the actors of la fragua present
regularly in the churches, which led him as a
child to become a regular devotee of the children's productions in the theatre itselt: his childhood
dream was to grow up to be an actor with la fragua. His
first acting efforts were in the workshops of
Biblical dramatizations; in 1996 he graduated from the
Jesuit high school in El Progreso and started to
work full-time with the teatro. Family economic
straights lured him to abandon that for a time, seeking
his fortune in the clothings maquilas; but the childhood dream won out after a few
months. He
continues to study industrial engineering at night in the national university branch in San Pedro
Sula.
Héctor is also guitarrist with the group and in his spare time forms part of an alternative
rock band.
The work he most enjoys is with the Children's Stories, a program
begun by la fragua as a response to
the emergency situation resulting from the visit of Hurricane Mitch and which has been
continued as a
regular weekly program for the school children of Progreso and the surrounding villages and
banana
camps. He is also director of one of the fragua
high-school groups in El Progreso.

Nubia Maureen Zaldívar
(1981) 20 años y la
integrante más reciente de teatro la fragua.
Siendo
mundo
esotérico del New Age.
